Fresh Air and Empty Streets is a novel written by writer Oliver Cable.

He used to be a customer of Jon's market store. One day he told Jon he had written a book and gave Jon a copy to read. Jon liked it and he invited Oliver to do a book launch in his bookshop. Now Word on the Water stocks several copies of this novel, which sells quite well. Oliver also organises events such as poetry and jazz night using the bookshop as a venue.
